2002 Audi A6 Overheating

Carlos’s question:

My 2002 Audi A6 is acting weird again. If I turn the AC on, within thirty minutes or so, the car starts to overheat and the cooling fans on the radiator stop working. Please tell me you’ve seen this before and know what to do.”

Answer:

As a matter of fact, I have seen that same problem. There’s a computer part on your Audi called the “fan control module” and it controls the running of the fans. They run at different speeds at different times, and the module controls this. Sometimes the modules go bad, and will work for a while (like your half hour time) but then heat up and stop working. I’d advise trying a new fan control module to fix that problem.
