Speedometer incorrect car speed

I have a problem with my speedometer!! It is not showing me the correct speed (mph) i am traveling at. For example when i am doing about 15mph its hows me about 30mph. Need your help mate “

Well, unless you put REALLY small tires on your vehicle, your speedometer system is breaking down. Now each particular model breaks down commonly in certain ways, so since you didn’t mention what you’re driving, I’ll give you a generic answer. On older cars with speedometer cables, if that happenned, it would be a broken odometer in the dash, with the gears breaking down. BUT, if it’s a more modern car with computer speedo, then either the sending unit on the transmission has gone bad OR the computer odometer in the dash is breaking down. Normally the dash unit is the problem with your symptoms, so you can either go to a junk yard and try a used unit, or find a good speedo repair shop who knows how to fix them. Even I don’t mess with them myself, I take the whole dash unit to a local speedo shop here in Texas.
