Is it normal for a new car to drip water on the ground if the AC is on?
” Hey! Is it normal for a new car to drip water on the ground if the AC is on? What are some early maintenance items I should be looking forward to for a new car?”
ALL cars with AC will drip water on the ground when it’s humid outside. Hot humid air hits the car’s evaporator and creates little rain showers inside. That water has to go somewhere, so it exits the evaporator down the drain tube. As for early maintenance, just change your engine oil and filter every 3 thousand miles in normal stop and go driving conditions if you use normal, non synthetic oil. Keep air in the tires and wax the car four times a year, once each season. AND, clean bird shit off as fast as you can, that stuff is acidic and will eat your paint right off. Keep a spray can and towels in the trunk to do that.
